Melinda K. Anderson, CSP
Melinda is a Certified Safety Professional and holds a Bachelor’s degree from Southern University in Biology and a Master’s degree from Columbia Southern University in Occupational Safety & Health with an Environmental Management concentration. She is the Safety, Health and Training Coordinator for the City of Baton Rouge.
She has over 15 years of diverse experience as a Safety Professional; of note, she was instrumental in the USPS Baton Rouge P&DC receiving VPP Star Status. Her areas of expertise include distribution, transportation and government compliance. Her commitment to ensuring a safe working environment prompted her to become an OSHA Authorized Trainer.
Melinda is an active Professional Member of the Greater Baton Rouge Chapter of ASSP. She has previously served the organization as the Programs Chair and is the elected Secretary for the 2020-2021 chapter year. She was selected as a recipient of the Terrence M. Hennessy Professional Education Grant from the American Society of Safety Professionals Foundation.
Melinda is married with one son, Jalen and two daughters, Skylar and Jahné.
