The Leadership GOLD Series is a 4-part virtual leadership development experience designed for safety professionals and operational leaders who want to increase their influence, effectiveness, and impact in creating safer workplaces. Using the acronym G.O.L.D.—Growth, Ownership, Legacy, and Discipline—this series equips participants with practical strategies and leadership insights that directly apply to their day-to-day roles in safety and operations.

Whether you’re leading a crew or shaping culture across an organization, the way you grow—and the resilience you show—determines how far your influence reaches.

You can’t lead others if you’re not growing yourself. This session will challenge and equip you to rise to your next level of leadership in safety.

Week 1 Speaker:

Justin Barksdale, CSP, is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Barksdale Safety Solutions, LLC and Barksdale Leadership Solutions. With a background spanning industrial operations, utilities, construction, and healthcare, Justin has built his career helping organizations strengthen safety performance through leadership, culture, and practical risk management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), as well as a certified Maxwell Leadership coach, speaker, and trainer. Justin has supported organizations ranging from small contractors to large utilities, leading initiatives in safety management systems, contractor safety, leadership development, and serious injury and fatality prevention. Today, he works with leaders and safety professionals nationwide to help them build strong cultures, develop influential leaders, and create workplaces where people go home safe every day.
