President’s Message

July 01, 2020

Hello GBR Chapter,

Our 2019/2020 Chapter year was full of successes.  I want to thank our past president, A.J. Downing for bringing a renewed vision to our Chapter and ensuring the Chapter brought continued member value.  It was a great honor to serve as Chapter Vice President and I saw the energy required to serve as President and I am ready for the challenge ahead.  I am energized to keep serving and working with our great members. I look forward to developing and executing our board’s ambitious plans to ensure we deliver member value, while staying true to our Chapter’s purpose: promoting the advancement of the safety profession and safety professionals and development of our members.

2020 has certainly brought a unique challenge for us all with the precautions of COVID-19.  For so many our day-to-day lives have been affected both professionally and personally.  As we show leadership in our roles, we will endure this pandemic and serve a brighter day ahead.  For our Chapter, we are anticipating limited to no impact to our chapter operations and hope to connect at a Chapter meeting soon.

Our summer planning and transition meetings are underway.  Keep an eye out for our September Chapter Meeting invitation and other Chapter announcements.
